Weight-Loss Journey Day 16 & 17

Hey all! Yesterday I got him from work and I was beat, I knew that I still had to get my workout in (I was definitely dreading it), once it cooled down a bit (100 instead of 115) Emerson rode his bike around the block and I ran / jogged / walked with him. We ended up at the park where the sprinklers were running - (It was like a whole lot of childhood memories flooded back. Some of the best times were setting the sprinklers up and running through them or jumping on the trampoline while the sprinklers were underneath. Who remembers those days?) Ems and I did some running too and from the sprinklers, got wet and cooled down in this awful heat. It was so MUCH fun!
This week for lunch I made stuffed peppers. MMMMMM - one of my favorite meals. I planned on having greek chicken bowls for dinner this week, but I overcooked the chicken so it wasn't very good. Today I was craving some baked veggies. Ems and I ran to the store and I got a mixture of things (onions, mushrooms, carrots, peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, etc and threw some olive oil and a bunch of different spices on top and threw them in the oven. Once they were done cooking I sprinkled a little bit of parmesan cheese on top! SO GOOD!
In a couple weeks I'm going to run/jog/walk in my first 5K - YIKES! I'm so nervous but so excited all at the same time. Today at the gym I did the treadmill, I don't think I have ever sweat so much in my life. I was sweating all over the place. It was great!!!! I need to keep pushing myself to do more every time.
Interesting Fact about me: I LOVE TO RUN! It is probably one of my favorite things to do as far as working out goes. I just wish I could do it consistently for a long period of time. I know that it will happen as time goes on. I look forward to getting stronger and healthy. I'm loving this lifestyle change. I honestly think I'm loving me more than I ever have in my life!
